100 baht a day budget in LoS

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

That's good but it's all tinder now looking at the photos. And if your private pilot hovers after that, yours will look like mine

In fairness to Thai visa they perma banned him a couple of years ago when their members got completely fed up with him.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that I could live on a hundred baht a day if everyone else was paying my way also. This OP has got to be inspiring to cheapskate backpackers who are willing to abuse the kindness of others. I don't think I'd be particularly proud of being a freeloader though.

he said its 100 baht a day after accommodation expenses, which is easy, 2 litre bottle of water 14 baht, Toastie for brekki 25baht, pot noodle for lunch 10baht, all from 7/11, that leaves you 55 baht to go eat some thai food somewhere be it pad thai 30-40 baht, noodle soup 30-40 baht, or something and still got 15 baht left for a evening snack

Yes that bit is easy. But it means sleeping rough. That isn't safe and needs to be discouraged. Tourists who end up living like that give us a bad name.

To fall on bad times is one thing. But to turn that into a lifestyle is another thing. I wasn't aware of Thai visa banning him.

Have you actually met him Jamie?

He's not living rough, he's got accommodations, and he's not just existing on bread and water, everyone else is paying his way at the bar. This whole thread is basically about someone bragging about being a leech upon society.
