$50,000 medical insurance needed?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I am purchasing it next week June 17th for my August trip. I might cancel it once i arrive- depends how long i stay. 1 month or if longer.

Its an option. Purchase for entry and then cancel....
get ur cc ready for the $3,000 charge and you will get a refund of $$.....- 3% service charge, - bank charge, - lousy exchange rate in 2-7 weeks,,,
Then they give you change in old worn $1 - $2 - $5 notes no one wants here :stir:

i wonder, lets say you give them $3,000>rather than paying on ur cc
when do they give it back to you? When you fly out, after 14 days?

I can see the Chinese will not pay it as they will have some sort of arrangement with their tour group ...
Its a real pain for a Chinese to get $3,000 cash in China

I have stated and asked the question before, are the Chinese on the same rules? But there is a lack of them returning apparently, maybe it will change if the casinos open, due to the only thing that ticks here is money, and that kind of gets the ball rolling, but when you talk of donated monies China gets so many thanks, lets not forget US and Europe do the same.

There are a few threads running now of namely different titles of the same subject, looking through them too reply to a specific question or person is as mixed up, has basically of what they are all about, gaining entry into Cambodia.
These are difficult times, truly a global pandemic with an effect on countries and that of their economies and peoples lives. What is a country, government to do in such times, protect its people by whatever means possible, medical, isolation and travel restrictions. For economies, countries want growth, trade and employment for its people, but all the fore mentioned will have a undoubtedly effect on the countries economy, being that of a somewhat downwards spiral.
We read in these threads of people, with what they thought of their documentations being in order and correct, trying to gain access into the country, and then reading on, the unfortunate denials of their entry.
I feel for our expat friends from CEO who mainly have their lives in the Kingdom of Wonder, whom are now stuck from traveling back to a place they call home, now they are in a state of limbo. Has anyone made the journey and successfully gained entry? What of the apparent four flights from China today, any of them in the country?

With the ridiculous new arrival rules it looks set to stay that way for some time. At a guess what percentage of passengers/tourists will agree to this and go anyway? 3? 5? It sure as hell won't be many. Why can you always rely on Cambodia to do the stupidest thing possible? They better rethink this ASAP.
