Re: Looking to buy a 4 TB SSD for ASUS lap top
are u sure that will fit in ur asus?
take off ur back cover an make sure...
2nd: thats realy cheap:
on lazada 9,280 baht $262
https://www.lazada.co.th/products/ssd23 ... se&stock=1
i just bought a new asus laptop ( X1402z) and it takes a very small ssd
I only put in a 500 and use external drives.
I would not want a 4tb drive< same for my cameras, i only use 32 gig cards

You def need to check based on ur exact serial/model number if and how you can upgrade ur HD. It's not uncommon for them nowadays to be soldered in, and that won't be possible to upgrade for ur average guy.

Would cloud storage be an alternative for you?
Re: Looking to buy a 4 TB SSD for ASUS lap top
the main thing filling it up is my email program I receive 500 to 1000 emails daily due to nature of our business and they go back several years I was deleting them but as soon as I do I need to refer to them as luck would have it. The Cloud I am old have no idea how it works but I like to have all my mail here with me to refer to when needed . I am sur these days there is an alternative way .

check out gsuite for business. You can keep ur domain so it would be no change in ur email address.. I'd be surprised if you cant import your old mails.
Also comes with unlimited cloud storage which you can mount to ur filesystem. Should also be pretty straight forward with the gdrive software.

What do you even need 4TB for? I use my computer for many different things including gaming, but would never need 4TB.
Re: Looking to buy a 4 TB SSD for ASUS lap top
i suppose I could go for 2 TB but I was amazed how fast the 1 TB filled up I can see if I get the 2 TB a year or so from now I'll be wishing I had the 4 TB couldn't hurt huh ?

not sure what gsuite for business is ? I'll try and look into it , its not unusual for me to have mail with 50 MB attachments anything larger I get on we transfer usually or by skype those files I also keep some are several years old . I had a external drive I saved it all on then a year ago plugged it in and said corrupted unable to access files took it to the techy all files were destroyed from some reason or another man I was pissed a lot of important stuff and loads of work all gone .ceoreg123 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 9:02 pm check out gsuite for business.
