Books for sale

This is where you can buy and sell anything you want in Cambodia! There is no 'Craigslist Cambodia,' so this is the next best thing. Most items for sale are in Phnom Penh, but this is a buy and sell section for the whole country. Many expats and tourists have new and used items to sell, so anyone can list them here. CEO has no part in these sales, so buyers and sellers need to get in contact with each other themselves. You're always welcome to list items you're giving away for free, as we encourage the community to give when they can. Amazon and eBay ship select items to Cambodia, but you save time and money when you do things locally.

They are great, especially for travel, they don't have the wonderful tactile sensation of a book though

why boast about giving books away after you read them...rubbing this person's face in a pile of guilt shit simply because they want to sell a book?
That is like wondering around garage sales telling people they should donate all of their used stuff.
I suggest the book owner hold onto it until there is no toilet paper left in Australia and then sell it to an Aussie who is returning home on holiday.

When I buy an English book here in Asia, after I read it, I donate it to someone. I can buy all the used books I want in this world for $1 each in the states and Im not so desperate for money that I would be selling a cheap crappy novel for $5.

Why dont you bring them to some Yank or English speaker in a hospital or prison?
I’d love to know what book store you’re buying any used book for for a dollar in the states. This is a relatively new release and is a hardcover book. I didn’t get it for free and it wasn’t a dollar. I’d love to run a book charity but it isn’t really feasible for me at the moment. Thanks for the unsolicited advice, though?

I'm not sure about now, but about 10 years ago Bohr's Books on Sothearous used to pay about half the price listed on the back of a genuine edition of a popular book in good condition. I've got some good original books I'll post if anyone wants them, because I only collect books on the region - so all the others I'll only read once and then they use up space gathering dust. I will want compensation of at least 2 beers for each. 8)

I bought tons of good books from Bohrs and Boston Books. Few from that expensive chain of used books, fight their name and the street numbers.
I have hundreds of books on my Kindle but still buy the occasional new or second hand book.
My library of mostly military history books that came from Australia are still on the shelves of a mates house in Kep, hopefully. The way things are going I may be back to reclaim them after the virus subsides and I migrate back to Cambodia on the home run.

I think you mean D's Books, there was one on 178 and one on 240, and maybe other locations. I thought they were shite, barely anything was in order so it was really difficult finding anything interesting and the prices were ridiculous.

Sometimes it's good to have a value on things. If someone pays for an item, they value it more than something that is given for free then just treated as another bit of rubbish.
I have a pack of magic toenail clippings I can sell you for $100 then
I'll give you a crappy second hand book for them. Deal?
