Yamaha YBR 125 "big bike", $850

Have a car, truck, motorcycle, or bicycle you'd like to sell? List it here for free. Heck, you can even buy and sell tuktuks or your pink Scoopy here. Remember, you need a driver's license in Cambodia for cars, trucks, and any motorbike that's over 125cc. And always wear a helmet!

Yamaha YBR 125 "big bike", $850

Hi everyone,

What I've done:

Rebuilt carburetor
Serviced valve train (adjust valve clearances)
Replaced the tachometer w/new factory version
New rear tyre, sprockets, chain.
Bled brakes and repalced with DOT 4? synthetic fluid
Haven't touched the motor

What's wrong with it:

Motor is a little clacky when warm, so I say it's half way or more through it's life. Parts are cheap though, piston is $20, clutch disks are $13, transmission bearings are $5-7, so not much more expensive than any other "small bike". It's also carbureted, so no fuel pumps, injectors or any of that to worry about.

Gearbox is whiny in 5th gear. I'm assuming pinion shaft bearing is worn.

Seat is torn.

Odometer is broken

Bike is still 100% functioning however and doesn't burn oil.

All taxes paid, card in my name.

Story:

I bought this to ride around Phnom Penh but have since picked up a different bike. This has to go.

Still in nice condition, original chrome still shines, paint not faded except for a small part on the side panel, etc. It's a nice sized big bike for small people like me (I'm 5'7") Easy to ride around town and very light (about the same weight as a Dream 125), but at the same time takes the rough roads much better than other smaller scooters. Fuel economy is great, around 35-40 km/l and it has a massive 13 litre tank. I've only gone through 1 1/2 tankfuls on it.

Pulls hard all the way to 10k rpm and hypothetically tops out around 125 kph, but it takes a long time to get there. Being in Phnom Penh I have yet to go faster than 55 on it.

Asking $850 ono

Somethings definitely dodgy here - that dash looks like it works.

^^Funny thing that, someone who wants functioning gauges on their bike.

Sometimes I hate being obsessive over details. The damn tach was something like $117...but I couldn't stand it not working.

If I had the dollars I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of your bikes. I'd be confident they'd be in better than new condition.

Honestly, this one isn't in excellent condition. Motor I'd say is about 40-50%...which is often better than most Khmer bikes to be honest, but that's why I'm asking only $850.

Edited: You're free to make an offer, or buy the other bike over mine if you feel it's a better deal.
