What car to buy for driving in PP?

Specific for motorized transportation devices. Daelims included... barely.

I have considered this for myself and lean towards the Rav4 due to cost and decent clearance height.

Corolla the way to go! Cheap as chips to maintain and hardly ever has problems. Thin enough to go where tuk-tuks dare! That's for IN Phnom Penh.

If you're on the roads a bit, they have a few crappy ones, then you'll need something with suspensions/springs ... A tricked-out Camry or Corolla, or an RAV4 or CRV.

They instantly assume whoever in it has zero money, so if there's an accident they'll get nothing out of them, and stay well clear of it. It also fit anywhere a tutuk did, so was good for getting around. One in snooky with a manual gearbox at the garage just past CT clinic (when leaving town) for $600 asking.

However, if you're dead set against one, a Visto is a nice car about the same size. Pretty prevalent in the country with prices ranging around $3 it seems.
We recently received a decent Kia Visto Que(Quo?) as a company car. I don't know how it is going to do in the middle of rainy season here in the city, but it is so damn small and easy to park. The petrol consumption is not to shabby either.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...
