If you get to know Cambodian people, sometimes your heart will cry
There are some Cambodian people who have difficult lives. If you get to know them, sometimes your heart will cry for them. You can help some people, but you cant help everyone. We could give a thousand examples, but it would take too long. So here are just a few.
Where someone is sick or disabled for a long time, it is often difficult for the entire family. There are many families like this.
One boy has thalassemia. He used to go the the hospital regularly for blood transfusions. The family borrowed money from lending institutions until they wouldn't lend them any more. Then they borrowed money from friends until they wouldn't lend them any more. Now the boy remains sick, no longer has treatment, and the family has huge debts, and financial difficulty.
In another family the father is crippled. He can't use his legs. They grow vegetables on the small land they have, and sell them in the market. If you see their house, some people have places to raise chickens which are more expensive.
Another girl lives with her grandmother because her mother and father don't have enough money to look after her. Also living with them is an aunt and two cousins. Her mother and father have a road-side stall, and don't make enough money to live. They have had to borrow money, and have huge debts. The girl and her grandmother sell breakfast in front of their house each morning. The aunt sells in the market. The money of the grandmother is kept separate from the money from the aunt, and it is often not enough. The girl is sometimes hungry.
While another family was growing up, they did not have a house, and had to stay with friends. The father also died. The daughter got a job in a sewing factory in PP, and saved enough money to buy a house for $1000. So now they have a house. But the factory has closed now, so they earn the little money they can working for other people in the village. I challenge any of you to find another house in Cambodia for $1000. It is in an out-of-the-way village, where most people are poor, and land is cheap. It is a small old wooden house, where most people would not want to live. Living with them is also a niece/cousin whose father left her mother many years ago, and she does not know anything about him. A few years ago, her mother died.
Another family has enough money for food, and everyday living, and is happy. But they live near the edge of the river, in a place where the river bank keeps collapsing. Sometime in the next few years their land will fall into the river. They wont have enough money to buy another place.
The thing which makes my heart cry the most, is mothers abandoning babies. A girl went to the hospital, and gave birth. She then just walked out of the hospital and disappeared, abandoning the baby. The doctor gave the baby to another lady who had 2 sons, and wanted a daughter. I don't know her story, but she may have been raped by a fake boyfriend, who she believed loved her.

Maybe you should write a book.

“Cambodia - into the rabbit hole”
or
“Exploring Cambodia”

My focus is primarily on what I can do to help. Which is relatively little when you see the size of the problem.
I know some people help already, but I like to encourage others to help where they can, particularly with education of poor people. Education is one of the keys to improving Cambodia.
I do know one girl which has had a very difficult/interesting life, and it would make a good book. If someone with a good attitude, who is fluent in Khmer, wants to write a book, I can introduce her to them.

Here we go again, more virtue signaling, stating the bleeding obvious, knight in shining armor, damsels in distress waffle from Mother Explorer of Cambodia. Sainthood is an unusual ambition?

One of the sad things in Cambodia is, because so many people make begging a lifestyle choice, and run it like a business, when there is someone with a genuine need, they go unnoticed.
Fortunately explorer has the ability has the ability not to be tricked by male beggers, has questioned if other's feel more sympathy for females and distress and heart cries for for Cambodian's of a certain gender and desire to seek a certain education level. My question would be does he leave his white horse in Cambodia when he returns to Australia or fly it back with him?

You should start a GoFundMe for all these people.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

i suggest he travel to; India, Somalia, Sudan, Syria etc etc than see how his heart is affected
or parts of most cities in the world
Cambodia is NOT unique for tragedy
Rather than write, fucking get out there and make a difference if ur heart is breaking
