Re: Yab morng
very, very hard or difficult
យ៉ាប់ yap1adj to be bad, troublesome; naughty; difficult, hard, strenuous, exhausting; tired; very busy
បើចេះតែយ៉ាប់ឡើងដូច្នេះ តើយ៉ាងណាទៅ? What are we to do if things keep on getting worse?
ហ្មង to an incredible extent, insanely
as in the Smart slogan: ធំ ហ្មង = incredibly huge!

Re: Yab morng
I think this is a more accurate depiction of its intended use. Used to describe a situation or person. It generally doesn't have an aggressive or overly negative connotation.Barang chgout wrote:Silly!

You are quite right.
Today "yab morng" was used by my wife when she found still another English transliteration of her name ហ្វាន់ ("Hvan"), which the family book gives as "Kvan", the identity card as "Hran" and finally Acleda twice wrong on her ATM card as "Harn" and on her online account as "Hean".
Silly!
