Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Well, I'm not a.Khmer poster but here you go.

Here's another practice that shows how much Western medical science os lagging behind traditional Khmer medical treatment. When Dengue Fever breaks out in our small village the locals quite astutely deal with it in the following way. They build a scarecrow (ting mong) and place it at the entrance to their house to scare away"the evil spirit",of Dengue Fever. This is a multipurpose scarecrow. If a replica of a firearm is placed im its straw stuffed hands it will scare away potential thieves and robbers. After a Water Festival in Phnom Penh when a bridge swayed causing many deaths the scarecrows were once again built to keep the departed souls from entering the bodies of the inhabitants in the house.

Now I ask you, has medical science ever produced such a multipurpose vaccine? I think not.

Damn JB, first anatomically correct one I ever saw. Maybe the locals in my village are afraid it might attract horny widows.

I've just been informed by a local ting mong expert that the firearm was made from banana stalks and the anatomical feature came from sugar palm stems.

Brillant. I want one of those super multi-purpose ting mongs to guard my place. What do you feed them ? Rice wine and bananas ? Change the spliff from time to time ?
Do they also work over KNY ?
