All you need to know about the upcoming second edition of the Siem Reap French Week, to be held at the gardens of Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor from 7 - 10 March 2019.

Following the success of last year’s edition with over 2,500 visitors, the Siem Reap French Week returns to the gardens of Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor from 7 – 10 March 2019 for a second edition! Everyone is welcome to join this annual event and learn more about the “savoir-faire” of French companies in Cambodia. Admission is free!

A wide variety of entertainment will be on offer: a fashion show, live music by the Phare music band, family animation, art & dance, French food stands, an open-air cinema and much more.

New this year is the first craftsmanship contest of know-how in Cambodia. Vote for the audience award before March 9 and visit the exhibition at the Raffles exhibition hall from March 7 – April 6.

Another highlight of this second edition will be the OHLALA! Party on Saturday night. Dance the night away in a pop-up venue in the heart of Siem Reap. This party is brought to you in partnership with The House of Champagne Taitinger, Les Celliers d’Asie and Khéma Angkor. Grab your early bird tickets now!

Phnom Penh to Host 39th General Assembly of International Association of Francophone Mayors

Phnom Penh (FN), March 9 - Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia, will host the 39th General Assembly of International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), according to the meeting on preparation, co-chaired by Phnom Penh Governor Khoung Sreng and AIMF Permanent Secretary Pierre Baillet on 8 March at the Phnom Penh Capital Hall.

Pierre Baillet said that by hosting the AIMF General Assembly, Phnom Penh will open door for the world to see what the association has done. It is also a great opportunity to present the kingdom’s cultural potential, and the progress of the capital Phnom Penh on tourism, sports and the environment.

The AIMF will assist the kingdom address social issues and promote people’s livelihoods.

"This year we focus on addressing water pollution and promoting sports for improved well-beings of people," Pierre Baillet stated.

Phnom Penh will provide all the prerequisite supports to the AIMF, the Governor told the delegation.

He informed the delegation that Cambodia supports the AIMF’s initiative to setup office in Phnom Penh as a regional representative.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties signed MoU on partnership agreement between Phnom Penh and AIMF under the EU's assistance.

French cultural centre opens in Siem Reap
France’s embassy on Saturday opened a French language and culture association in Siem Reap province to strengthen the country’s good relations and cooperation with Cambodia.

Siem Reap provincial Deputy Governor Pin Prakad and French Ambassador Eva Nguyen Binh presided over the official inauguration ceremony of Alliance Française in Siem Reap.

According to an AKP report on Saturday, Mr Prakad said the presence of the association will further boost the bilateral relationship between the two countries and attract more French investors and tourists to Cambodia.

Siem Reap Provincial Hall recently reported that more than 105,000 French citizens visited the province last year and 101 French companies and enterprises are operating in it.

Cambodia’s French Embassy set to hold products exhibition

The Embassy of France in Cambodia will hold a French products exhibition on Saturday, according to a Wednesday press release.

The event will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm and the “French Marketplace” will host more than 50 exhibitors who will showcase French products and French expertise in diverse fields such as health and well-being, culture, sports, fashion, gastronomy, housing and education.
“There will be many activities during this festive and friendly day designed for everyone and for every taste,” the release said.

SO why, after putting all this effort into charming the khmer are the French at the embassy such utter C**ts about schengen visa's?
Hands up if you know a bar girls who has slept with someone from the French visa section ? Oh that will be everyone who got a vis then ....
