Random Wartime Pictures of Cambodia in the 1970's

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Random Wartime Pictures of Cambodia in the 1970's

Post by General Mackevili »

Ok, just saw these on Facebook. They said the pictures were from 1970-1975. So don't shoot the messenger. They obviously took pictures of them on display somewhere. Maybe Phnom Penh Hotel in 2010, but it's all labeled in French, so not certain. There's even a picture of Sean Flynn. Maybe they're Sean Flynn's pictures. Hmmm.....

Good pictures and some new ones I've not seen before.

What I find sad is that all the troops/women/kids pictured where all fighting for FANK (Khmer National Armed Forces) against the Khmer Rouge, then it highly unlikely that any of them would have survived much longer.

I like how this guy appears unfazed by it all. Just a walk down the street.

I agree, and instead of us [ and especially newbies ] having to search through all post to find these, I suggest we have a separate '' History '' or '' Cambodia Photos '' section where photos like these can be moved to ..
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
