i mentioned it on the other thread, but if anyone interested in what the value of the stamps at the time were, 4 riels was $1, 1 riel was $0.25, the one that is 0.80 riels, is 8 Kak which is $0.20

That's not really fair. I have relations who studied at RUFA during that period and they had scrupulous enough standards. Most of the stamps lack a local style though. I wouldn't be surprised it it turned out these designs were created by East Germans or some other foreigners. Seriously, how relevant is a Gila Monster (or whatever that is) to life in the PRK in the early 80s? Who the hell is that guy on Westminster Bridge? Anyway contributions are welcome here:
