Good collection, but the one below isn't an advert, it's a postage stamp.
They had some pretty random illustrations on those PRK stamps:

The old artwork signs for the 'cupping' shops were good. Anyone have a copy?

The one I had in mind was of a man holding the flame in the cup.

Is there anywhere in particular you can go to purchase things like this?
They would look great hanging on the wall with a nice frame.

Pretty sure there's a store in TTP that has some reprints.

They are still painted. I know 2 artists in Phnom Penh who still make hand painted signs for small businesses. I used to sell them in my failed art and crafts shop.kiwiincambodia wrote:Is there anywhere in particular you can go to purchase things like this?

This guy has some talent
And does hand painted signs. (The Preah Bot he's painting is beautiful, I wanted to sell these too, but wife wouldn't allow it as they are sacred funeral pieces...Would have been a good mark up through something like he's painting is about $100 or less)
They are still also quite common around the outskirts of Phnom Penh if you keep your eyes open.
Here's a few I've taken photos of this year whilst I cycle about that are still on my phone's memory card
Not the best example, but literally outside the Russian Market
There are also 2 modern moto mechanic signs outside BKK1 market
I've got more on my memory card, but tired of searching for them now.
I've also noted the location of two more signs I want to photograph this weekend.
