Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

“Area Two houses the designs from Holland and France, representing the rise of civilization. Area 3 has Italian river designs and other areas. Every building near the river has a multi-national restaurant, with food from Europe, China, Japan, Cambodia and others.”

Are the Chinese building again, or have the Khmer taken ideas that don't always work.

'European' cities are springing up all over China, here's why

Situated near the port city of Tianjin, this is in fact an outlet mall that is designed to resemble an Italian village. Its Italian designers have added a whole collection of fountains, canals, and mosaics, and local shops such as Gucchi and Prada. The Chinese are also lucky enough to have two more Florentias, in both Shanghai and Hong Kong!

I know it wouldn't go far, but the $60 million should be spent on infrastructure projects.

P.S. China has all sorts of bizarre pseudo-European 'towns'... from French chateaus to Bavarian villages and places where you'd swear you're in the Swiss Alps... and a lot of them are empty. Close to where I live, there is a giant, 'Spanish' condo/apartment complex.
You could be next.

Maybe you should contact Thai Mengly and try to convince him to spend the $60 million on building some culverts in Tboung Khmum Province instead of this fanciful "funfair" idea. I'm sure it would be much more satisfying and lucrative for him. Make that call.

They won't show him the door here, that's for sure. Lots of these in Korea and I'm guessing China as well, most are very popular.

If the Chinese put a trump style fence,, made of blue tin, all along the Cambodian border,,, then you would have the biggest amusement park in the world.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
