sorry to say this, but it is not a really good video so the translation is not really accurate.

Vegetable names and pronunciation in English are accurate Samouth. Is it the Khmer that's not correct? Could you point out the errors for us please?

Right, the translation is not accurate. There are some errors. I will point them out when i get back home. i can't remember. The IT person at my workplace blocked youtube and facebook, so i couldn't reload the video.

1. Celery: We have no no khmer word for that vegetable, so it should be called Celery. Gee is herb.

2. Spinach is Ptea.

3. Acorn Squash is different from pumpkin?

4. Butternut Squash: Bplie myýahun sraw deúng ( it doesn't make sense for me).

5. Green Onion is not k'thum mhum, we call it slek k'thum literally means the leaf of onion tree.

6. Green Bean is Sawn dike Barang, Sawn dike kuuh is long Chinese bean

7. Red onion is K'thum Krahawm, no need to put the word barang in the middle. If you say it people will give you onion.

8. Parsnip is Chay Thahv.

Excellent stuff Samouth. Do you think some of the translation errors could be regional variations? e.g. in the UK turnips and sweedes may or may not be the same thing depending on where you are from.

Turnip England (some parts)Image

Turnip Scotland and parts of the UK. Otherwise known as a swede (although that name comes from Swedish turnip)Image

inside: Turnips are white , swedes are yellow, K440 is angry, CEO is mellow. :thumb:

Dedicated to CEO

And one more :
