Following the number of restrictions that were in place for the Khmer New Year for two years during the Covid-19 outbreak, Cambodians celebrated the Khmer New Year 2022 with much enthusiasm.

Khmer New Year in the Provinces
Kampong Speu
According to the Department of Tourism of Kampong Speu province on the morning of April 17, 2022, Kampong Speu Province received more than 140,000 tourists visiting during the Khmer New Year.




Poipet
According to the report of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Department of Tourism, during the three days of Khmer New Year (April 14-15-16, 2022), a total of 463,272 people visited Banteay Chhmar temple resort and recreation areas in Banteay Meanchey town, Poipet city.




Battambang
Over Khmer New Year for three days, tourists visiting leisure destinations in Battambang province Increased to more than 500,000 people.

Kampi rapids, Kratie province

On April 15, 2022, Prek Kampi natural resort in Chit Borei district, Kratie province, received so many tourists until there was no place to sit down in the shade.
