English translations do already exist; I first became aware of them in a wat in California. The problem is that most of them read like SJ's posts, I.e. Pali ttahfiiltered through German into English.

I'm looking for a new revised edition that reveals the Buddha's humanity as well as the piety. I don't like reaching God or the Gods by reading between the lines. Anyway I wish you many epiphanies in Pattaya and if you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him

Neither is it a request not objected in simply gain something but a possibility to do merits, my person thought it's possible that there some, even if only one, inspired in such. As said, some might also have skilful thought here. Others find it funny to state foolish things like "kill the Buddha"... or use what ever for their low entertainings downwardly... that's not smart, but what ever one thinks that it leads to his longer lasting happiness... there is a big section on alcohol in the conduct of man, possible good to think about cause and effects.

You are hopelessly ignorant of Buddhist folklore. The meaning of that centuries old saying is that that there was only ever one Buddha and anyone claiming to be him is a liar of the highest degree. It is hard for people to rejoice in their religious beliefs when staid mongers of virtue like you pontificate jibberish. Lighten up, you're a burden to Buddhism.

seriously, ive been keen to find the actual script to do my own translation in the past but could only find other peoples attempts at translation/interpretation

That's folkbelieve, maybe, but not informed. First there have not been only one Buddha, secound, in times no Buddhas heritage is present, there are always socalled "Privat-Buddhas" and third it's actually from a merely modern Zen (Japans-housholder copy of Dhamma-tradition) saying, meaning "kill the pride if thinking you are a Buddha". So much about of what effects, lost in quotes, can bring. Not to speak of mindsets and intentions one states something. And as wise people always tell, there are monks who know what you think, know your mind, so be careful.
How ever, my person will no more burden your eatings and foodshares. Take care, not for others, for yourself.
