"I Carry Your Heart" (translation)

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

"I Carry Your Heart" (translation)

Post by General Mackevili »

Now, I know what you're ALL thinking. I should totally mess with her and send her the wrong translation, like "I'm a stupid b!#@$" or something. But, unlike you guys, I'm a considerate and helpful gentleman. Ok, the thought did cross my mind. Hell, I might just do that anyways. I've never believed in people getting tattoos on their body that they can't even read.

So, who can help with this?

Much appreciated.

What???? Are you suggesting that my answer was flawed?!!! :whip:

You could always go with Google Translate:

ខ្ញុំបានអនុវត្តបេះដូងរបស់អ្នក

:thumb:

And, yeah, that really does say 'I carry your heart'.

I think people shouldn't be getting permanent tattoos on their body in the language they can't read or write. And how is she going to find a tattoo master who can spell it exactly right?
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes
