I just done my own little research on the word 'ban' in Khmer. Anyway, most of the food start with ban is mostly Vietnamese influenced. Confirmed.

That's sure banh cheo is a loan word from Vietnames, but don't be confused the word Ye is a loan word from French's "arrière" mean back.
