Autumn winds.
As I was parachuting back down to terra firma from another thread I noticed a proliferation of diamond shaped objects in the sky. It's now kite season in our village and elsewhere in Cambodia of course. The majority of them are homemade kites, carefully cut from plastic bags and whittled bamboo framing. Nothing fancy in our skies, no fighting kites, no dragon kites, in fact I believe box kites are unknown here. So, if you know a kid with a far away look in his eyes, give him a store bought kite, with strings attached only to the kite and not you. In spring time, they will all hang from trees like rotten fruit, but hey that's next year. This is not the kind of post I expect a lot of responses to, but I needed to write about something "flighty" after the high"g's" I underwent on the last post.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Re: Autumn winds.
This would have actually been a good read if you'd left the bitter out of it.

Re: Autumn winds.
No bitterness just a factual recounting which was more like disappointment.
