If you know a lot, know enough to make them respect you, if you are stupid, be stupid enough so they can pity you.

We're fucking billy goats. My father climbs over everything he can. But that's in a state park without fragile monuments and buildings. Even he wouldn't do that. They are just brainless and think they aren't doing any damage to it. And if so they think it's only minor so what the hell is the problem.

Dickheads, they need a sign saying "Please engage brain before entering".thePeck wrote: They are just brainless and think they aren't doing any damage to it. And if so they think it's only minor so what the hell is the problem.
But truly, there probably needs to be some huge sign at the entrance saying "You are now entering a TEMPLE site which is sacred to Cambodian people. Please treat it with respect." since obviously some tourists seem to think it is some sort of Adventure playground. You shouldn't have to spell it out, but hey ...
(And maybe another sign saying "Please remain dressed while on the premises." )
Re: Again..........
I agree that there are not enough signs at the temple i.e No climbing etc. However, most of backpackers always read the trip advisers books before they go to any countries. So i wonder, if those books didn't include the culture parts or they just skipped reading them.

I prefer to blame Absara Authority, not those foreigners. I think they just wanted to make fun.

There are so many other ways they can make fun. lolzz if they want to see the view of the temple from the top, they can take the hot balloon up to the sky or climb on to any high temples where is climbing allowed. Actually there are so many temples in Siem Reap alone. As i remembered walking with my relative at some temples in the remote areas far from the cities. There are not so many tourists and yes there are no Apsara Authority there. So, tourists actually can do whatever they want.prahkeitouj wrote:I prefer to blame Absara Authority, not those foreigners. Re: Again..........
Hey Samouth! How can they respect us if we don't respect ourselves? You know, last year when I went to Kolen moutain, I saw a foreign tourist skipped in to banning area. He stepped on the statues in the river. I was walking to him. I was about to speak, but he saw me toward to him, then he jumped out. I felt ashamed and speakless when I saw many Khmer families were eating , stepping and sitting on the statues and also threw the garbages there too I talked to my driver about it. I think he is a driver but he is well-educated than those people who have luxurious cars, but poor in their living!Samouth wrote:There are so many other ways they can make fun. lolzz if they want to see the view of the temple from the top, they can take the hot balloon up to the sky or climb on to any high temples where is climbing allowed. Re: Again..........
the "sacred temple" looks, as if really seriously nobody gave a flying about it for minimum a couple of hundred years...
nobody considered this a "sacred temple" for ages, nobody went their praying nor caring.
wow, and now you want to take offense when tourists think its a ruin, were they take entrance fees from foreigners.
