I wanted to go to a quiet bar without a lot of tourists. i was told that HELLO,BIARRITZ, TECHNO, JOJOS, AND QAZARLESS were a few. Anyone been to any of them?? If so what are ur thoughts?

Those bars don't exist in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Are you sure you have the right Phnom Penh?

There's a sports bar on 178... The Gym I think it is which is almost uniformly dead and only seems to attract a couple of expats at the most.

There's also Freebird which thanks to its no smoking policy is empty more often than not.

Steve's Steakhouse, which I really like but which seems to get no love at all, has a nice happy hour during the day and you can sit in the pleasant outdoor area and quaff cold Tigers with no-one (and I really do mean no-one) around except the waitress.

If you want something a little more musically inclined apart from late evenings - Led Zeppelin which has moved to 278 is often as dead as dead can be but the food's good and there's nary a tourist in sight; it does come with a rock/metal soundtrack though.

I don't do hostess bars. I find sex costs quite enough when you're dating someone in Asia no need to add to that by actually paying for the sex...

In SKV it would be Monkey Mark's (Missing Monkey Bar), a really hidden little bar/restaurant, or down at the beach the new Chivas at the south end of the beach. (Mark's for monster steaks and Chivas for the every Sat night Pork knuckle.)
