Walkabout is a disgusting bar not worth visiting anymore. Last time I was there was in 2014 and the place had really gone to shit. No talent. Shanghai Bar is a million times better. It's best to just hit the streets next to Riverside with all the little girl bars and have fun. Pull out a little cutter and make haste.

Bah, I had a good night there once. You'd need to dig a bit deeper to work out why though.

I'd only been in Phnom Penh for a week when I mistakenly visited Walkabout. My Vietnamese girlfriend had come over from Saigon and we'd been to listen to some rock music in Led Zep bar. She saw the pool table as we walked past Walkabout and insisted on a game (we met playing pool in Saigon and she was the first Asian girl I've met to insist on buying all the drinks). I ordered some drinks and went to the bathroom to come back to find a large Aussie guy trying to sexually assault my partner. The gap toothed meth hag playing pool then started to threaten her while she was playing pool with me... we gave up and left, never to return.
