New (Girly) Bars in Sihanoukville

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

Not an ideal bar to have a few beers at.
Suddenly (in picture 7) it has not only moved, but changed colour too,
Just sayin'....
they are 2 different bars mate, look at the bars and the sofas

Are these bars where girls work or the freelancers go to?

Where did all the freelancers start going after the beach bars closed?

Whats the youth centre? Sounds wrong!!!! But interested to know where all the girls have gone to, and where i can find them.

youth centre/new square is one of the same.its been open a few months now.

stumble inn, martini have moved there plus a few french places.
martini is tiny plus stumble inn was shite down the plaza so i guess it will be shite now.

the roads to it,mittaphrap street and the road from lv are absolutely shocking.by far the worse in Shv so i doubt anyone will bother to make an effort.

i also hear a rumour the landlord wants to rent the whole place to the chinese. what a surprise
what this space

They should rename it The Misspent Youth centre then.

Hey guys

Been at Otres I for a few days now
Very quiet and run down
The road into the Golden Lions a real shock, like a full on construction site
Tuk tuk from there to beach too rough and dusty to be pleasant now
The new bars mentioned in start of this post, are they still there? Where have all the girls gone?
Prices seem identical to last year, food and grog etc

Please only add comment if you have info
Even the ugly ones

There is a whole lot of (Chinese) brothels now on what we used to call the Sunday Guesthouse road, actually called Maddux St I think, which goes from Ekareach to Sreypheap St. It is the same road as the Missing Monkey restaurant. This was a road of Khmer shophouses only about 6 months ago. Now it looks like they have set up a new red-light district.

The competent authorities are obviously being well paid, because I have never seen such blatant prostitution in Cambodia before. After about 11pm, driving along the road from Ekareach St, just after the school, you can see the ground floors wide open and lit up in red, with rows of girls standing there, ready for inspection. There is no attempt at pretending that these places are massage joints or KTV or anything else.

LOL. Sihanoukville police got all het up about flyers advertising Chinese sexy girl massages, but you have the real thing on one of the main roads open for all to see, and this seems to be ok with the authorities.I guess the locals aren't complaining, because either they are making a buck, or they are scared of being evicted. Most of the road seems to be inhabited by Chinese anyway.

I've got nothing against brothels myself, but the double standards are blatant. Khmers get busted for massage parlors who give extras, yet the Chinese move in and set up brothels. Just like the locals are getting busted for playing cards and lotto, while the Chinese casinos are kidnapping and extorting their customers. As a foreigner, I don't get a say in what goes on, but if I was a local, I would think that the authorities are really taking the piss.
I'm not sure if the red-light places accept non-Chinese customers, but I wouldn't think so. Perhaps someone else can do some on the ground research ? It's not really my thing.
