New Chivas (Shack) Snookyville
New Chivas (Shack) Snookyville
My neighbors have just about completed the rebuild of the old Chivas Shack down at the far south end of the downtown beach in Snookyville. Its not finished, but they had it open for a couple days during the recent holidays (at the request of the government.) Wow! What a class act. It makes the rest of the shacks on the beach look like what they are, shacks. There is nothing like it on the downtown beach. This place will set the bar for the beach "shacks" in the future.
Well laid out and lots of room. There is also suppose to be a pool room upstairs. The menu looked really good also. Roger says that they plan on having a DJ at night and have a special music equipment/DJ corner and large speakers. I'll try and get some pictures later. I see some of the old Freedom bar crowd liking this place now that that hangout is dead.
The real opening is suppose to be Nov 1.

I'm guessing the prices will be up there. Snooky gets upscaled? wow
Re: New Chivas (Shack) Snookyville
Prices didn't look real high. Looks like a good menu also. Yes, next to Dara's shack. Thanks, you saved me from having to go take pictures. I would rather pay a little extra and be in a classy place than setting in a shitty shack drinking the swill-made-on-the-hill for $.50. (a frosty mug doesn't a classy place make when you drink swill in a shack.) Some people like the rustic look of a grass hut/shack, but I got over that years ago. Only time will tell if the taxi girls (that used to hang out at the Freedom) will abandon the Dolphin and head to the new Chivas, thus bringing in the guys. Looks like a nice place to hang daytime no matter what.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

And a hundred moto taxis and tuk tuks waiting to rob you on the way home if the bag snatchers or ladyboy pick pockets don't get you first. (from a mates experience who it happened to more than once from different parties of thieves at the old place!)
Re: New Chivas (Shack) Snookyville
But is it owned by the previous Chivas? As he owns a club/bar there called star palace or something
