Re: Jackpot Joker
EVen if that were true, why would it be suspicious? The bar attracts both expats and torusits just visiting for a few days. The larger the prize gets, the more the drawing becomes an "event" attended by non-regulars for this first time. Who can forget the the Walkabout used to be chock full of NGO chicks on Friday nights when the jackpots got huge, women who would otherwise never be seen in the Walkabout.Doc67 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 12:13 pm
I was in there when it went off. I didn't recognise the winner, I had never seen him before, and I recognised virtually everyone else in there. I asked a few other people if they had ever seen him and drew a bank. I asked them to ask others. So far, nobody I know has ever seen him before or knows anyone that has. Funny that...
Why in the world would a new face winning the draw be suspicious to you? If regular had won people could complain about how suspicious it is that a friend or acquaintance of the bar owner or manager won, couldn't they?

He's obviously pissed coz he didn't win. Starts slagging off the bar, the draw, then the winner.BaltimoreJack wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:02 amEVen if that were true, why would it be suspicious? Re: Jackpot Joker
I liked Walkabout joker draw because they never closed (except briefly whenever a guest would die on the premises) - and therefore the cards couldn't be fucked with
I wouldn't play or trust one in a bar that shuts its doors daily. - not an attack on the FB or JS's bars - just my thoughts

Re: Jackpot Joker
I dont care about the 3 or 4 dollar i loose every week at all, thats the game. The main reason i "know" its a little scam is because some-one who used to organise the draw told me after 25 beers and a bottle of whiskey: "dont loose your money on the draw because its a little scam", RIP that guy because he isnt anymore between us !! Probably the draw in Front-bar was scared and they put the joker in, because it fell last night already after 2 weeks, hahaha !!jah steu wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 6:48 pmThanks for your compliments about Honeypot bar, but this part of your post is totally incorrect. The cards are pinned into the display case face down in front of witnesses and then the case is locked. The Joker is in there from the beginning until it is picked. Each Friday night the case is opened for the raffle winner to choose a card and then locked again.Bongmab69 wrote:somebody had the joker 2 weeks ago, was 5777 dolaar, niceee. No idea how long it was running, probably since newyear ?? Its just fun, i am 90% sure its a "little" scam, they dont put the joker in before at least half the cards are turned (26 weeks or half a year), they just want to make money out of it.
It was pure chance that the draw ran so long this time. It could get picked really quickly on this next draw.

Re: Jackpot Joker
The Honeypot draw?
I'm not aware of any dead guys who ever organized the Honeypot draw or ever worked at Honeypot at all. Jah Steu and Jay are both very much alive, who else are we talking about here?
Or are you talking about a different draw at a different bar in Cambodia or in some other country?
