Two tier pricing of lady drinks is pretty common in many, if not most bars. There is the "generic" lady drink, and the "premium" drink which could be for example a JW black, which would be charged in the $4-$4.50 range. Girls should make the customer aware of this and should ask if they can have a "premium" drink. I would regard it as a scam if the girl ordered a premium drink without consulting the customer and making him aware of the difference.

I am an expat and enjoy the hostess bars 1 or 2 nights a week for a change. I don't go to find a fuck but I am happy to buy LD's to chat and fondle the girls.

I would never say hostess bars are a scam, fuck me I would want to be paid to talk to me when I am pissed!!!!!

I go to The Mall regularly and know many girls, many of them come and sit with me, I usually ask them if they have eaten and if not I buy them food. I buy them a drink if they want one. I do not give then money to go buy ice or box fish or give to their pimp boyfriends!!!

I don't think I am paying to chat to them I see it as humanitarian work!!! The same as if they need some money they come to my room. Again it is not mongering or prostitution, I see it as humanitarian work and I greatly enjoy my work here and the pleasure it gives me knowing I have helps many poor girls!!!

Hostess bars are what I would consider HiHo's as opposed to the LoHo's in the mall and riverside that you talk about. I probably prefer LoHo's as they are more grateful and tend perform in a more rustic manner. Often the bar girls are more reserved!!

Now buying drinks I consider to be part of the fun, yes it is paying the girls but it means you have a captive audience to work your magic in the sense that you can pick the girl and she will sit with you. You can then use this time to chat her up. The more she likes you the cheaper she may be if you want to go with her. I call this ground work.

I enjoy putting in the ground work for a week or two on some girls and feel that often it is a good investment.

I do have one girl in a bar that comes home to me every night at 2am and sleeps with me, she wants to be my girlfriend but does not want to lose the money she can earn from lady drinks so she told me if she works she does not want money from me!!

I am in a win win situation here as she only spends about 12 hours a day with me and that time is spent sleeping and fucking!!! Costs me nothing, all because I bought her a few lady drinks over a few weeks!!!

I can quite easily get Mall girls to come and sleep with me, sometimes for no money cause they have nowhere to sleep and sometimes for a few dollars but it is important to realise that is is not about our ego and wanting girls to speak to us or fuck us for free it is about the help we give them as some of them have very little.

While I realise that some have nothing cause of drugs or bad choices I do not hold that against them like any true humanitarian would, I still continue to try to help them in ways that do not add to their problems.

Men (and women occasionally) that go to hostess bars know what the deal is, and if they don't then the hostesses will usually explain the process, and the price of lady drinks are usually displayed on the drinks menu. There is no hidden agenda, so how are customers being scammed exactly?
