New bar opening in Sihanoukville - Glory Hole

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

I'll be back in October, so I'll pop round and have a look. If it's shit I'll leave a turd on the pool table and burn the place down.

And yet you troll on regardless...who said anything about internet?

Cheers

Trolling is now when you ask a question is it..... I really wanted to know what the bar offered beyond the other 400 bars in Sinville. The answer seems to be, it's run by "our mates"! Question answered, understood, No problem., not trolling.

Jamie_Lambo wrote:its a new bar, people are being made aware, thats the point of this thread,
what makes it different to any other bar? does it really matter? its a bar, it sells alcohol and has pool and comfy seats,
the bar is made as more of a club house for the expat owners and their friends any anyone else who fancies popping in for some drinks,
whats with all the drama?
no ones being forced to go,
if i go out for drinks i dont walk into a bar and start shouting out "what makes this bar different to any other bar down this street?!"
i just walk in and buy a drink or more, if i like it ill stay, if i dont, ill leave,
its not really rocket science is it
It's not what makes it different. It's a question of is it even worth going to? If it's the same as all the others (as it appears) and the only reason it's being discussed here is "coz it's our mates"; then I think there is little reason to attend or even keep discussing it, beyond the advertising factor.

Its a new bar. You can go have a look and stay or look in , not like what you see and go somewhere else.

There has been a real lack of convivial, barang centric pubs in Sihanoukville for a while now. They are either filthy, girlie bar themed, play crap music at a ridiculous volume, are filled with a bunch of drunken idiots or tend to be themed for a particular nationality.
I haven't had the chance to go into Glory Hole yet, but know most of the owners. They include some of the most successful business men in town, so whoever suggested they didn't know what they were doing, couldn't have been more wrong. They are a very friendly and welcoming bunch of guys and I'm 100% sure the atmosphere in the bar will reflect this. That for 1 will make it different from a hell of a lot of bars in town.
Good luck fella's, not that you need it because you are astute enough not to have to rely on mere "luck". Will definitely drop in next time I'm on the mainland and I'm looking forward to catching up with you all again!

I could care less about finding something new and exciting in a new bar. It's the vibe the staff and clientele give off, yeah? If the place is filled with assholes or worse yet...Americans, I ain't sticking around. Relaxing atmosphere, good conversation, cold beer, decent music, and a game of billiards? Shit man, I'm in heaven.

I'll be by in a month or two.

Exactly. If you don't like it don't come back, it's that simple.

Thank you! I'll pass the message on.

And a side note- My bloke is an absolute natural behind the bar - he is brilliant, like he's been doing it for years.
