Freelancers in Pontoon 2014

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

This type of thing wouldn't happen in Liechtenstein. Women and the constituents of Hong Kong deserve equal rights.

Seems like a growing trend that I turn up and kill the buzz...but come on people we need to set a standard. [If] People in all corners of the world get an opportunity or a peek at a thread like this; treating women like a tub of ice cream in a supermarket and comparing flavours/store prices.

It's a little pathetic.
Not all threads will interest every poster. The heated religious topics a while back didn't interest me. The threads about bar girls obviously don't interest you. Topics like that are of interest to some people; no need to belittle them. We can all choose to ignore the threads that we don't find worthy of our time. Please spend your time and effort on CEO creating new and relevant threads that you personally find interesting, instead of making negative comments on the conversations of others. Let the better quality content prevail, whatever that may be. Surely there is enough room for all of us.

He didn't say anyone treated them like shit, he said ice cream. If you don't know the difference, then I'm never having ice cream at your house.
in his own words he said "it's pathetic to treat women like ice cream and flavours".

translation : he's sickened by men treating girls like sexual objects (objectification).

problem is, objectification happens because women objectify themselves, men are only adapting to the environment and playing their cards accordingly, they're playing a passive role in this scenario, women are the active role and responsible for this but refuse any accountability.
Boy is missing the bigger picture. Bargirls objectify US. We are ATM's to get money out of. These are not innocent lil Shirley Temple's on their way to church. It's a job, they train each other, they use methods businesses WISH they could. It's a two way street and anyone moaning about innocents and objectification is woefully uninformed and lives in a theoretical Wonderland.

On a side note, if there has been a cut back in fresh new faces, it might be because as the world economy scales back word is getting back to Isaan that it's not all wine and roses. This all cranked up in the late 60s with R n R for Nam soldiers so it's no "oh, we had NO idea" thing. There's still LOTS of girls who will keep you company, I think Nana has hundreds on any given night. Let the superstars hold out for a dope, or the Japanese. Unless you are lazy, or really cheap, you can find someone to share some fun with.

yes he's missing the bigger picture because as it's always the case in these discussions it all turns into a religious war based on feelings rather than rational cold data.

good luck telling them we're the prey and the walking ATMs, they won't accept it, ever, as their entire ideology is based on the idea that women are always the victim no matter what.

this political strategy dates back to the french revolution and all the socialists and marxists that followed, they're merely a sub-set of a something too big for them to understand, Lenin himself called them "useful idiots", totally unaware of being manipulated and indoctrinated since birth and genuinely thinking they're fighting a battle to save the world.

The sex-trade is part of economy, I can live with that.

I can't be arsed to humour what has now become 3 of you.

Freelancers and prostitutes that work in a network may be of the same ilk but not of the same system.

The fact that you can't see my point about women and ice cream shows how simple-minded men can be about an arousing topic.

Alternatively, if you don't like Pontoon, there's Holiday, Casa, Darlin' Darlin', Nova, CodeRed, St. Tropez.
Or make friends and go to a KTV and pay to lock the room.
If all of that is too expensive, there's always internet porn. However, if it's physical contact you like, then (obviously during the night) on St. 271 between Russian Blvd. and Steung Meanchey, drive along that road and you may find something you like. In the same vein, there's Toul Sangke, all the back road from Antenna (Sarpino's TK) to the Gun Island (Chrov Changvar). OR, if you like to have a drink and then afters, there's the road where New World Institute used to be. That street to Monivong has girls that aren't too expensive.

*I don't know the prices, nor would I care. As I wouldn't and have never needed to pay for any form of sexual activity

Sounds like the sex trade is damaging to both clients and prostitutes.

sounds you're very intolerant of any critic or any possible different lifestyle.
good luck with that, and by the way what are you still doing in cambodia if this place sucks so much ?

i'm getting sick of all these expats who can't get a decent job back home and come here complaining all day long while sitting their ass in their posh western-style bars in BKK1.

It was an observation.
Since you prefer vitriol to discussion I won't bother engaging with you further.

How are these expats in BKK1 bothering you exactly? You choose the life you wish to lead (banging girls as cheaply as possible?) and they choose theirs (frequenting more upmarket bars and possibly banging the Darking Darling girls at $100 a pop). Each to his own...
