Freelancers in Pontoon 2014

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

in his own words he said "it's pathetic to treat women like ice cream and flavours".

translation : he's sickened by men treating girls like sexual objects (objectification).

problem is, objectification happens because women objectify themselves, men are only adapting to the environment and playing their cards accordingly, they're playing a passive role in this scenario, women are the active role and responsible for this but refuse any accountability.
Don't over-analyze what I'm saying. The ice cream analogy was the best example I could think of.

We could also say; We shouldn't treat women as if we were flicking through the pages of a classified section of a newspaper.

What if she advertises herself in the pages if a classified section of a newspaper (or an online dating site)? What if she advertises her "skills" in a quiet conversation at a hostess bar? You seem to believe all women are the unwilling victims of a pay-for-sex encounter, which is utter nonsense. Sure she can hold out for $1000 a throw if she chooses. She can also starve to death if no one offers that price. Or she can get a menial job changing bed linens and cleaning toilets at a hotel. Or she can put herself through medical school and become a surgeon. Her choice.

He didn't say anyone treated them like shit, he said ice cream. If you don't know the difference, then I'm never having ice cream at your house.

exactly !

but the dogooders here have been told that women should never be accountable for their choices.
it's always men's fault.

and why not ?
with freedom comes responsibility.

respect can be given but it must be earned first.
give men something to respect and they will.

wrong assumption again.
customers don't buy her as a human being, they only buy her services, sexual or not.

and since there is a market for these services there are also going rates.
supply vs demand.

she's totally free to ask 1 million dollars to sleep together but only as long as there's somebody willing to pay for it, otherwise she's pricing herself out of the market and she'll be no longer in business, simple as that.

i remember having read about western girls selling their virginity on ebay for crazy prices, no one managed to find a sucker as someone who can afford wasting that money is usually not a fool.

and this proves that sex has a price limit, no pussy is worth gold, the sky is not the limit.

Who the hell made you judge jury and executioner?
It isn't the wrong assumption by any stretch of the imagination. Unfortunate enough to have pimps and a sex-trade hierarchy, but the topic here is on (Pontoon) Khmer Freelancers.
"Customers" buy on looks/attraction. As a human being you have to have that. Otherwise they'd go to a farm and have sex with animals.

This is about all you'll get from me. Stop trying to wind me up!

Stonerose,

Some people just get off on winding up others. They add very little to the conversation. It is best to ignore these types of posts.
