I have spent my winters in Thailand for some time, I have been taking side trips to cambo for several years. The thai experience has gone for a complete shit!!! A short time in a gogo is over $100US, and in most cases $150
ST rate is now $2000-2500 baht
Barfines-$600 low end, Most 1000-15000 some over 2000 baht
Then you add in the bar tab . All this for mediocre service.
Sure there are some cases where you can get it cheaper, but this IS the case in Thailand now.
My cambo experience: the gals are FAr more friendly, and far cheaper for the quality.
I can get a great looking gal in cambo for $20-30 st.
This is gogo quality in Thailand .
Drink prices in Thailand are huge, I can drink in my home town in the west cheaper than I can in Thailand Gogos now.
The quality in the thai Gogos is repulsive in many bars. Fat cows and old fuglies. Many good looking gals as well.
But I look forward to my side trips to cambo now.
I now land in bangkok and catch my plane the same day as I arrive.
I don't waste my time in bangkok anymore. My money goes a lot further in cambo.
I have taken some nice freelancers in both places as well, but I am very selective as to who I take.
Anyone bitching about cambo sould spend a few days in a thai gogo.

yes but every serious monger should know and accept the fact that gogo are a total scam so there's nothing to complain about this, you can only blame yourself if you go there and you get scammed.

ohh and they will also call you a cheap charlie if you dare refuse an offer of 5000 baht for a quickie, that's how bad these places are.
i could fuck 5-6 freelancers all night for that price in PP, and they'll be probably looking as good or even better than the average thai gogo slut.

at this point almost everything costs double in thailand, to sleep, to eat, to drink, cigarettes are 3-400% more, and the list goes on and on, it's still a great place for a newbie but anyone who's been there before 2008 will now the entire atsmosphere is gone to the dogs and their golden days are well and truely over.

what's left ? Soi 6 and a bunch of other decent places, yes, but it won't last long if the trends keeps going.
there's just no more supply of fresh girls as in the past and the prices will go up and up.

take the girls out of the equation and what's left, what's the point of even going there ? to pay a little less than in malaysia for what is de facto a third world country with third world standards ? no thanks, i'll go in malaysia instead, and you fuck average freelancers for 50$ bucks there too if you know where, they're not all princesses asking 2-300$ and there are also many chinese massages and the food is great.

thailand is pricing itself out of the market and they've zero solutions for that.

the actual situation there is the sum of all their previous politics and planning, simple as that.

they never wanted to be like Malaysia or Singapore and therefore they'll never be.
so they'll be the worst of both worlds : corrupted to the core as any other third world country but with a high cost of living and rock bottom standards for education and justice and police.

at least in cambodia you know the score and you get what you pay for.
in thailand you get the same shit but it will cost double, what's the point ?

i've nothing against contries who are totally fucked up, i love them.
but only as long as the costs are in sync with what they bring on the table.

food, drinks, hookers, i can almost pay the same in many parts of europe than in thailand, no big deal .. it's still a good deal only for the australians, scandinavians, koreans, japanese, but it won't last forever.
