I fecking double-dog dare you!

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

Red wine/red muscadel
Coke

Not sure if it qualifies as a cocktail, but maybe as a poison

The UN should know about this drink...
In Austria it is called "Cola rot". You get it at any bar/club/party
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

The red-wine-coke is still popular, especially between youngsters under 16, its called CALIMOCHA, thye celebrated not so long ago the 50th anniversary of it (not sure about 50).
It was the cheapest way to get drunk that time, and probably still is, youngsters without money often drink in some abandoned street in the middle of nowhere (called botellon). Wine is useally cheaper then coke here, you can buy DON-SIMON in a carton tetra-brik at supermarked for around 1 euro a liter (will check this afternoon). In the lunhc-menu the wine is mostly included, coke not, you pay extra. Most common is to mix red-wine here with white lemonade, called "casera", also included in lunch menu-price !! ??

When I was a youngster in Spain I'd buy the cheaper casked red wine from local wine store in 1l bottles I brought myself and add a 20cl thing of OJ to it.

€1.20 cost per person for a pretty nice piss up on the beach

I opened up this 9-year old thread by mistake but it's attracting comments. It has encouraged me to dig up of more bodies. Don't come all judgemental on me, everyone has a few skeletons in their refrigerators.

Wikipedia says it has been drunk in Spain since the 1920s, but became popular after they started making Coke in Spain in the 1960s.

Children have always found ways to access booze but with the infantilisation of alcohol via alcopops and similar the marketers have been grooming them like never before.

Here in Vietnam many students comment that they don't drink beer because they don't like the taste. Now beer girls are handing out free samples of 'flavoured' beers: Tiger are pushing 'Cheeky Plum' style and other vile chemical concoctions.

Soon beer crimes will be up there with pizza crimes.
