Times have certainly changed, many of the old outdoor hair salons that used to be on st 5 have now gone, previously me being a cheap Charlie I used to sit there and drink cheap cans at one or more of them whilst watching, and admiring the constant stream of pretty young girls. There used to be about 3 or 4 salons in a row there between 136 bar on st 130, and Dream bar 118, all these salons were selling cheap cold cans and you could have half decent banter once you got to know some of the workers and bargirls.
Nearly every bargirl used to frequent at least one of those salons evert night, sometimes more often than once if they’ve had a short time, or more likely made a longtime to short time conversation.
Whilst sitting there and observing a girl i liked I would simply smile and politely ask her name and if I could possibly have her cell Phone number, I'm not really interested where she works!
Whilst walking the streets I would also say hello to a pretty girl and strike up conversation, 95% are all on social media anyhow, the online game is thriving once you’ve weeded out the ladyboy time wasters!!

If sex tourist numbers don’t improve next high season I think the Riverside entertainment area could gradually begin to start going into an even more serious decline, a bit like Emita Manila did in the early 90’s which I know was actually intervention from the then major but the same could easily happen here too!
Many Philipino bar businesses ended up moving up from Manila to Angeles City Pampanga, some later going on to thrive after the initial Pinatubo volcano eruption had settled.

If I moved here now for the first time green I would be wondering what the fuck I’m missing mongering wise, it’s almost worse than Vietnam now.

Do pretty 19 year old waitresses and bartenders in Sweden stop what they’re doing and sit with him and talk to him if he buys himself a beer?

Making the decision to sell your body to someone you most likely find revolting can't be a great job, but people make the decision to do it. I'm not judging anyone for it, the situation is what it is.

But if you're going to do it there must be a point where you say to yourself 'if I have to do it, this is my minimum price'. It shows self-respect and a sense of dignity, anything less just isn't worth it to me. And then someone comes along and tells you you're not worth anything near that amount and tries to put his own price on your dignity.

At this point you have to ask yourself, who is degrading who?
