15 Reasons Why Cambodia is a Single Man's Paradise

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

You couldn't be more wrong. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria (consistently voted the worst place to be an expat in the world - though occasionally losing out to Port Harcourt which is also in Nigeria). Much of Africa's awfulness is accidental. Poipet is awful completely by design.
Yeah, I lived in Africa for 40 years, was shocked the first time I saw Poipet.

And that was the customs post, LOL, imagine the other bits.

Poipet the Toilet
Personally I find poipet a whole lot of fun probly the most photogenic suburb of KoW and interesting "Hood" in SEA deninatly not for the faint hearted or the barangs who lived a sheltered life.
What total BS; was there for 3 days in May with gf family ( they have a huge house off the main road) waiting on her LA visa, Poi poet has 17 casinos ( all owned by Barangs) , LOTS of new apt/condo complexes unfinished. a few nice restaurants. a Pizza company, and lots of other construction, go 4 blocks either way off the main road and its back to dirt roads. went out one night with her Aunts husband to a huge KTV ( not my thing, but he was buying) . The whole town is not seedy nor photographic and its just another Cambodian boom town. Does have a nice night market. Not really much for a Barang to bother with stopping a night for .

Saigon asshole, u really dont know shit about anything :beer3:

I was there on 2010, it was hood, a real dump.

What you see isn't what every body sees.

I saw a hopeless poverty strickened hellhole riddled with problems which made interesting photography.

You saw a boom town.

The mongering in Cambodia is primarily freelance hookers, beer bars and brothels. I sampled all three and I always had the best experiences with freelancers. In most of the popular clubs and bars you will find some pretty Khmer girls sitting around waiting for a customer.
Prices are always negotiable and there’s no bar fine. Average price I paid was $20 for short time with a very beautiful girl. I’ve banged for cheaper then that in a creepy brothel but I would not recommend it. It was a sketchy scene.

I was only in Poipet once, in 2000. It looked crummy. That has fuck all to do with anything nowadays though, it's two-thousand-and-fucking-seventeen.
