Walkabout Hotel Bar and Restaurant in Phnom Penh FOR SALE: $150,000
Re: Walkabout Hotel Bar and Restaurant in Phnom Penh FOR SALE: $150,000
Same thing in Siem Reap. Countless bars, restaurants, guesthouses and resorts for sale on the FB SR Real Estates pages. And loads of apartments for rent, a lot of them brand new.

I think "going strong" is an optimistic assessment of Mikey's. He's been trying to sell that dump for far more than it's worth for years now. I think most people are a little discouraged by the idea of running the only brothel in Cambodia with uglier chicks than Walkabout...General Mackevili wrote:And I bet Mikey's is going strong. Blue Tongue Cafe has already taken over the Joker's Draw from the Walkabout:

Probably expats cashing out at the top of the market. The nature of the tourist scene is changing and Cambodia is decidedly not a backwater, the stress of meeting a rising rent and satisfying customers is probably too much for the old timers. Cambodia isn't the place for a person to turn up at age 45 with under $100,000 in savings to live out their laid-back tropical small business fantasy any more.ExPenhMan wrote:Same thing in Siem Reap. I love how furniture and fixtures included in the sale price,
And a blue tongue guest sees them taking furniture from walkabout while they are still pretending to offer it up for sale.

The Blue Tongue is owned by the same people. They decided not to sell the Walkabout and took the furniture. It took you 3 months to notice this?StungTrengBooBarang wrote:I love how furniture and fixtures included in the sale price,

Does anyone actually use the Blue Tongue or the new Martini's ? Every time I thought I'd pop my head in they have been completely empty! Don't they know how to promote business?
