Pound is down to $1.39 this morning and destined to drop further until the Tories accepot the inevitable and go for a soft brexit. I am praying for the hardest of brexits. Pound back at $1.20 would be good
1.39 is pretty good as it was 1.19 after the Brexit announcement a year or so ago. It was massively overvalued at 1.50 so that crash was inevitable but the market seems to believe in brexit. Was 1.25ish for the last 6 months

was $1.69 when I bought mine over  Dropped to $1.40 ish immediately after the vote. Its gone back up because everyone thinks there will be a soft brexit (pointless exercise). if Mogg and Johnson kick tyrant may out the pound will bomb, if she kicks them out it will be back at $1.50 by end of the year

Bitcoin also crushed other traditional investment alternatives last year...

There's a healthy correction going on in the cryptocurrency market right now. It'll scare off all the noobs. But others will continue to invest in bitcoin and shitcoins and make good money doing it. Now is a great time to pick up unheard of bargains.

I made over 10 x returns on a single trade on 1 shitcoin in just 2 weeks late last year. How could anyone possibly be interested in the stock market after that? 20%? LOL. You could get that in 10 minutes in crypto...
Have you turned that into money you can spend in the pub, or is this all just numbers on a graph? I want to see a solid gold grill in your mouth before I believe you are rich

He he... Rich? I don't know that I'd consider myself rich. But I put everything I had into Bitcoin when it was at $800. And I regularly skim off gains and put half into shitcoins for trading and the other half I convert into fiat. I have bought a couple of mining rigs with those gains and put some into cloud mining. The rest I've used to buy gold and put into fixed deposit savings in a Cambodian bank.

There are apps that offer prepaid debit cards so you can spend your crypto but with governments, banks and visa cracking down on crypto... not many of them are currently usable. Cryptopay and Wirex used to work well. And are both trying to find a workaround for the VISA problem. As is TenX from Singapore. I have a card coming from them in the near future...

There are also bitcoin/litecoin/dash ATMs all over the world, many of which you can buy and sell crypto anonymously. Which is my preferred way of converting my mined coins into fiat.

Oh.. and the easiest way to convert crypto into fiat is of course through an exchange like f.ex. coinbase... Usually takes a day or three and is transferred straight to your bank account.

No, they don't do that, not to a cambodian account. Don't think the doktor is still living here because don't believe mining rigs are profitable in Cambodia. Also doktor, could you tell me with who you do your cloudmining? You would be the first I heard of making profits from cloudmining. Btw the Monaco Visa card is actually directly approved by Visa, you should try them for converting your crypto into fiat. They will start shipping in the next month if all goes well.

I'm using a bank account in Scandinavistan... the Cambodian banks made a statement about not wanting people to get involved with cryptocurrencies recently. But afaik it's not illegal.

Maybe it's worth it to make an inquiry in your bank. Say it's for currency trading.

I am in Phnom Penh right now. Have been in asia since the late ninetees, but I still have, as I have had all along, one foot in Scandinavistan and that's where I have my mining rigs. Very cheap electrical bill so quite profitable. It's no professional setup though. Just 2 hobby rigs. 7 gpus. 4 1080 ti's and 3 rx 570s. Mining Zcash, Lux and Ethereum predominately.

I have a mining contract with hashflare. I can't understand how you can not make money on it. It's been about 2.5 x the investment. But that's if the coin you mine is not going up or down so worst case scenario, you might break even. Best case scenario you get more.

So far I'm as I said about 2.5 x in the plus. It's certainly not the same return as you get when your mining with your own rigs or as you get by trading, but I can't have 15 antminers in my apartment. Plus I like diversifying my passive income. I like that it's anonymous and I like that I can pay with bitcoin. So it's all paid with profit. Nothing out of my pocket. Basically "free" money paying for more "free" money.

I'll pass on Monaco. Visa has made a statement that they don't want anything to do with cryptocurrency.. Or so I read anyway in a statement from them.

I've signed up with revolut and have been looking at paycent as well..

Ok, agree, in a country with lower cost electric it can be very profitable indeed.
Hashflare changed their contracts a couple of months ago, wouldn't recommend anyone starting a new mining contract there now, if you really really want to do cloudmining (but you're better of buying and holding the crypto coin you want) maybe Genesis mining currently can make you break even in the first year on ethereum and make profit in the second year on their 2 year contracts. But still wouldn't recommend it.
Monaco cards are Visa approved. No worries there. And they also offer a lot of other benefits.
