That is cash to ATM, rather than actually sticking your card in an atm, Primarily so you can send an sms code to a friend who can use that to withdraw cas without a card, or yourself if you hav eleft your atm card at at home

I was in Campu bank one day and went to their exchange counter and said "Look - this $20 note I got from your machine is torn".
The polite cashier informed me that it was impossible as their machines only gave out $10/$50/$100s. :?
She had me stumped but anyway she also changed it for some undamaged notes.

Just tried the app to atm. It warns you in the app only multiples of $20 are available, and then the ATM hands out 10's anyway

It seems a bit of a stupid limitation, now I've got to carry a card around.

Maybe the $10 notes are being exhausted in the machines and at the distribution centres and when gone they will then only load with $20's or greater.

It makes sense to restrict the outflow to multiples of $20 and stuff you full of $10's to expedite the process, rather than the other way around and having no $10's for demands of $10 or $30 etc.

It increases the amount of money it can carry as the economy gets richer without increasing physical capacity. More $100's and $50's. Zero $10's
