I think to take $500 out of the machine costs me around $30 all up.

Can btc fix my problem? Is it simple to buy some bitcoin in the UK then cash it in here in cambo? If so can someone walk me through how I would do that?
Get a Starling account if you want cash withdrawals and don't want to open a Cambodian bank account. You only pay the ATM fee. Exchange rate is Mastercard's.

Reviving an old thread....

What peer to peer exchange are most people using for crypto trades in Cambodia, ie, payment is settled within the country via local bank transfer, Wing, Cash etc ?

So far I've come across localbitcoins and localcryptos

https://localcryptos.com/ has around twice as many Cambo based buyers/sellers compared to https://localbitcoins.com/, but we're talking single digits on both.

Unfortunately they seem to have switched from Wing to True Money, which has rendered them useless for me, as I currently cannot visit Cambodia to open a True Money account.

As we ( Americans) have for years been required to FBAR if total in ALL our overseas accounts is $10,000 since 2011
it was only a matter of time till they added bitcoin.
Although for life of me, i cant see how they could identify it was your wallet holding any bitcoin
Only a food would willingly divulge those accounts

Bitcoin at $32,267.10 :beer3:
