Chip Mong’s community mall breaks ground

Local conglomerate Chip Mong Group last week broke ground on its latest project in the Kingdom, a 5-storey retail mall with 11,000 square metres of floor area.

The shopping mall, known as Chip Mong 598, will be completed during the first quarter of 2021, according to Stephane Pierron, acting president of Chip Mong Retail.

Mr Pierron said the mall, which will have a parking lot able to accommodate more than 130 cars, will serve the residents of housing complex Park Land 598 (a project by Chip Mong Land) as well as those residing in Russey Keo district, in the outskirts of Phnom Penh.

He said the mall will boast a Chip Mong Supermarket, a Legend cinema complex, restaurants and bars, a playground for children and other amenities to meet the needs of the community.

Parking for 130 cars doesn't seem enough

I was going to say the same. 130 is nothing, so a weird number to boast about. There's also another Chip Mong mall along 60m road being built. Anyone else notice Chip Mong seems to really have gone all out lately? Tons of borei developments, big hotel developments, a bank opening as well, malls etc. I've always wondered if it would even be possible for PWC to audit them back to the beginnings.

Don't be daft now. That dirty chinese money's got to be laundered somewhere.

Chip Mong Sensok Mall

Community shopping mall will cater to the needs of the residents in the Sensok District. Key retail categories will include a supermarket, a fitness center, a cinema, specialty F&B, children’s playground, food‐court and popular fashion/sports active brands. There will be parking space for 400 cars and another 400 for motorcycles.

Construction to be completed in 2020.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Chip Mong Retail, a subsidiary of Chip Mong Group, has invested about $ 113.9 million to build a giant supermarket on Street 271.

CDC official Facebook has announced that on February 24, 2020, the Cambodian Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia has issued a Certificate of Succession to the company CHIP MONG RETAIL CO., LTD. to construct a supermarket located on Street 271, Prek Ta Tan Village, Chak Angre Leu District, Meanchey District, Phnom Penh. There will be an investment of approximately US $ 113.9 million and 829 jobs will be created.

Chip Mong Mall is a mega-supermarket, built on 41 hectares, in a residential development project of Chip Mong's 271-acre luxury residential and commercial area. The five-storey supermarket is 150,679 square meters with a rented space of 54,714 square meters and more than 2,000 parking spaces.
