Post by phuketrichard »

wow;
Is this amazing or what?

....The $18 million first phase broke ground early in December on a 13ha plot in Prey Thnang commune’s Phary village in the province’s Teuk Chhou district, some 18km from Kampot town.

It comprises 78 villas, of which more than 60 per cent have been sold, according to the developer.

The second phase will cover 27.3ha and will include nine golf courses and four five-storey condominium buildings, the developer said. Construction is expected to be completed in two years.

Four-bedroom villas at the Gold Harmony are an average of 1,200sqm in size, with prices in the $361,000-409,000 range and include an individual swimming pool, the developer said.

2-3 hours from the closest airport, 2 hours to a hospital, no beach, no shopping.

from their first launch in dec 2019
said completion in 2 years so has anyone been down to see it?
Cambodia is an expatriate hotspot for those dreaming of living a more luxurious lifestyle at an affordable cost, International Living’s Annual Global Retirement Index 2019 report said in February.

For the fourth year in a row, Cambodia took the top spot in the Cost of Living category. The report detailed the best places for foreign retirees to live this year and scored the country full marks of 100 out of 100 for the cost of living.

Vietnam ranked second with 99 points, and Thailand third on 94 points. Peru and Bolivia were tied for fourth to complete the top five. The Annual Global Retirement Index ranks the 25 best retirement havens in the world.

Cambodia ranked 12th overall in the list of best retirement destinations, scoring overall points of 81.2. Thailand was placed ninth on 83.5, with Vietnam 19th on 79.4. Panama in Central America topped the list, scoring 100.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Seems very harmonious indeed, forest-wise.
I assume the chainsaws will be tuned, so the enchanting melody will resonate harmoniously to the forest's appreciative wild-life. They're totally all-ears, that i'm sure.
^^

Nice clip which fits quite well if you watch it all, and good luck after that, forest friends.

Surely a nine hole golf course and not 9 golf courses.

A full golf course would take up about 30 hectares by itself. And nine of them does sound a tad excessive... It would more than double the number of courses in the whole country!

Been hearing about golf courses for 10 years. So far none have been completed.

Teuk Chhou is only a few km from the beach and Sonja Kill hospital is only about 15 minutes drive away. And don't forget the giant military grade airport that they have built nearby. No shopping though, you have to fly to Bangkok or Singapore to buy anything. 8-)
