The 6th Flyover Bridge Construction in Phnom Penh Kicks Off

Phnom Penh (FN), June 29 – Cambodian Prime Minister HE, on Friday, presided over a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 6th flyover bridge at Cham Chao roundabout near Phnom Penh International Airport.

The project is constructed by Overseas Cambodian Investment Company (OCIC) on a budget of approximately $22 million and is expected to complete in 30 months, according to Facebook of Prime Minister HE on Friday.

The construction of the Sky Bridge at the roundabout could significantly ease the traffic congestion, especially at Cham Chao roundabout; it will serve as an important economic corridor for both domestic and international exports through National Road No. 3 and 4.

I still manage to do SHV to PP in 4 hours or less when driving.

Don't go anywhere near that messy roundabout.

Care to share your detour with the bus companies? They could sure as hell use it. Now the 6 hour trip will be more like 7.

I really dread the next three years... If it’s a dick waiving contest I can still manage half the time of LJ and probably less with my next car but I would really prefer discussion on alternative routes.

I left kampot in the early hours and just breezed through at chom chao. Nothing much seems to be happening at the moment other than the road going out of town has been narrowed.

tbf, the Steung Meanchey cows' guts did solve a lot of traffic problems, hopefully this one will, too.
