Do you know a barber or stylist who speaks the English?

Post by jovial fucher »

Somehow the 2 dollar guy who speaks English can't get his hands to do what his ears are hearing; he doesn't fucking pay attention!

If his price was 5 or 10 dollars, I wouldn't care as long as he gave me the cut I want. /end rant

Do you know of a barber or stylist who speaks English and takes pride in their work? Gay, straight, man, woman, I don't care, as long as they can communicate and give me the cut I want.

TIA

Try Tokyo Barber shop, I believe it's $5 but the manager there can translate for you...

I appreciate the suggestion, Equinix, but they don't cut it for me. I went a few times to Tokyo and the manager translated. The barber didn't follow instructions.

I met a great barber once but he left the shop he was in and I haven't been able to track him down. He could communicate, listened and did a great job, and I happily gave him 8 on a 5 dollar charge.

I need someone I can speak to. :hattip:

The old saying that there is only 2 weeks between a good and bad haircut should apply.

Me I get a number two mowing and shave near the wat ounalom every month.

I feel your pain...

There is a place in street 172, it's an Australian run place which is a barbers and a bar! I was told about it by an Aussie mate but I do not use it as I have finally found someone who can cut my hair correctly and consistently. It only took 20 months.

I don't know the name of the place or if it is still there as the new labour laws ban hairdressers and barbers as jobs for foreign workers (I think)

Maybe someone else can give you the name, otherwise take a wander down there. If you live miles away I can wander past and do a recce for you as it is very local to me.

I've always found the place a few doors down from Shenanagins towards 136 to be good. (street 13?) And they speak the English pretty good too.

Just thought of a place you could try.

It's located next to Sun & Moon.

I believe the owner is British and his boyfriend runs a salon in the daytime.

It's called 'The Vine', and that labour law proposal was cancelled.

I know of the guy and his wife. Pass. 172 is for tourists.

I'm not picky about my locks, am I?

Thank you, though. :hattip:
