Fuck off wanker, your sexist racist derogatory comments are not welcome.
You forgot trans,Islamic, phobic.
What a pity you two didn't come to the Boxing Day Bash at Harry's. It would of spiced things right up.
Hah! You just reminded me. I think this is why they don't have many get-together's. The risk of an all-out brawl is too high!

Thank you @armchairlawyer , we have looked at the Talk Cambodia YouTube channel (search YouTube for ‘Speak english with Mr Sovaan’) and my wife is very happy with their videos. There are quite a lot of them too so lots of great content. I think it will be great for her so thank you very much for the recommendation.

She does watch a lot of english stuff on YouTube and funnily enough finds the children’s cartoons best for learning new words, I guess because she’s only at that level for now. Her level is very basic but we speak english to each other every day.

really? why insult their relationship ?? you clearly have little understanding of how interpersonal communication works?? Your time here in the KOW must be very lonely and miserable, what little joy and entertainment you find trolling on a international forum thumbdown

Missus enjoys watching English, Chinese, Thai, Korean movies and TV shows without subtitles. But speaking formal English requires thought - getting the right tense, etc. - when she’s in a rush, she doesn’t bother. For example, she’ll tell me about the dreams she had last morning (aka last night).

Kambokiwi - ACE is a few hours, 2-3 times a week, depending on the level. With homework after each class. ACE has many levels, a placement test will get her into the correct level. The other thing ACE teaches is western culture and ideas (often the basis of their course materials). Plus the formal structure will help her with continuing studies in the future. Sovann’s YouTube Facebook videos are also very good.

Kohker were you bullied as a child? How's your friendship group in Cambodia? Is it restricted to your highly educated wife's family... you know the Doctors and Lawyers that you checked out before entering a relationship with your partner... You don't seem to be the type who will debate this subject at any of the expat frequented bars around town...  :Bravo:

I let my step sister use the netflix password/spotify account .. sorry not a terribly helpful post

she turns on the subtitles and that seems to help her - without me nagging her to take up a class .... as well a lot of time and patience
