Do you feel regret that you don't have MD?
Do you feel regret that you don't have MD?
I was wondering if some of you might have felt regret that you didn't do master degree in any subjects you would like to when you had time and budget for, while schools back home are mostly worth to go to.
I have been wasting more than two years already since I finished my bachelor degree. If i did my master degree right after i finished my bachelor degree, I would be now a master degree holder of my favorite subject. I was thinking, if it is worth it to do it in Cambodia. Would my time spent and efforts I made pay me off and land me a good job, since my education is still solely from Cambodia.
There are only two schools in Cambodia, I would do the course there. I quite like the curriculum and everything, however I am still not sure if I would do it in either one. For the fact, that many Cambodians who went to school in Cambodia ended up having jobs that are completely different from what they studied and received less salary. They could barely do any jobs that related to what they studied which resulted from low quality of education. A Cambodian man posted on Facebook claiming that he had a degree from the university but now he is working as a waiter in a small restaurant getting less than a hundred dollar per month. This made me even more reluctant to do another degree in Cambodia and I really don't want to be one of them.
I had once thought that I would do the course in Cambodia if I eventually couldn't manage to do it outside of Cambodia, however with my currently job keeps me really busy. I actually couldn't even do it here which made the chance of me finishing my master degree study even slimmer.

Who is going to make a better life for themselves, ? a person who has ? degrees and then drinks beer, smokes, parties all night on drugs and sits on his moto hoping to earn a living as a motodop.
Or the person who as a kid, is a shoes shine boy with no education , but talks to foreign tourists, learns by reading books and newspapers , and eventually makes his own shoes and finally ends up with his own shoes shop, or more.
You life is not determined by a small portion of your early life at school, but by the effort you put into your life after your school education. If you give up learning, you give up on life.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

A degree is useful if one works in that or a related field.
Most of my friends do not work within areas related to their qualifications.
One friend got her Master's degree age 50. The qualification has zero effect on her career, and she has mentioned to me more than once that it was a complete waste of time and she does not know herself why she did it.

Re: Do you feel regret that you don't have MD?
I don't feel regret. But I feel regret that I have two bachelors ( local) and two diplomas( abroad ) but I use only one of my bachelor to earn money. But it is better for my work to have master degree . I want to get mister before master because I think about how I can earn more money with my partner more than working for someone. However it isn't the matter if you get master degree or not, the matter is how much u can earn after you invest on your study.
