I have some in my place , but they will only last a couple of years before the white string that binds them together , goes rotten and they fall apart.
No problem with the blue / white plastic strips.
The problem is solved by coating the string with linseed oil , tung oil a other preservative.
.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Down along st 107 (sok hok) among the barber shops u will see them outside a few shops. If you want the split bamboo ones they used to be available in the rattan shops down the end of Sotheros.

Thanks, I'll go down there and get a couple of them.armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:34 pmThe last bit of Sothearos going south before it meets Norodom, on the left there is a row of shops all selling rattan stuff.
I bought two 2m x 2.5m rattan roll-up blinds for $42 each. I didn't haggle.

Tung oil should be used alot more in Cambodia. Is it available?
chuckle
First time i went onto a building site as a kid, the chippies (carpenters) told me it was made from the tongues of millions of geckos in asia.
I'm still not entirely convinced it's not.
