I'd be worried about them too, they are obviously out of their fucking minds. Narcissism mixed with utter stupidity and some naive belief in #chakras and #spirituality. I honesty felt like I was regressing into mental retardation watching that bimbo shit.

Silence, exile, and cunning.

Classy, real classy. With the woman's brother following this thread closely, to spew those disrespectful comments and completely ignore the sensitivity her brother might have already had, you have once again outdone yourself. Not that I'm surprised. Thank God that he has given the KOW only one respectable, all-knowing barang.
JB.

You're always first in line to defend the Khmer, but why can't you find it in you to try to understand the plight of non-Khmer before you render such insulting statements?

That's rich coming from the poster who blamed a 14 year old girl for her own rape and murder. Trying to play the white knight now? 8-)

Try following the WHOLE thread, instead of picking only the part you want to attack on. Shouldn't be too difficult, especially for you, right?

Maybe the video improved as it went on but I couldn't get past the first couple minutes.

To the OP, I would say to them the next and final transfer of funds will be to the airline directly for their return tickets. Don't even send it to them, you buy the tickets in their names. Hope they aren't letting their visa expire as it gets very expensive, mention that as it seems to be common among people foolish enough to run out of funds in Cambodia.

@OP I wouldn't worry about it anymore. Your sister is an adult, you know she's ok (not in danger), and she has made her own decisions. I'd move on with your own life and leave them to sort themselves out.
They are both adults and you are not their mother.
My 2c. Best wishes.

I’m with JB on this one, you did claim the girl was “partly responsible” for her own rape & murder, you then tried to backpedal because on closer scrutiny of the article you realized the girl had been attacked in her home, not as you initially assumed, that she had either gone with, or to her attacker. That doesn’t change the fact that you actually believed that a 14 year old child could be “partly responsible” for what some sick bastard did to her.

I’m going to ignore the personal comments made about my niece as they add nothing to this discussion.

Thanks for your help everyone. It’s a very difficult and complicated situation that’s been ongoing for many years. This is just the most recent episode.

One final question for this group, is it possible for travellers to get cash in hand work whilst they’re there or is it near impossible? I’m being told the latter repeatedly, but keen for a different perspective.

As someone who is trying to do things legitimately here, I have had to turn more jobs down because they wanted cash in hand than I have been able to take because they were willing to do things properly.

It doesn't surprise me that someone else is financially backing their trip abroad. The dreadlocked mum looks like she has the emotional age of your standard 18 year old hippie twat.

She needs to grow up, be responsible and maintain contact with family members - especially when with those family members who are FUNDING her self indulgent 'wandering about behaving like a gap year backpacker' jolly around se asia.

Look at her sucking her cheeks in and pouting.

Grow up.

@ Marla - stop sending them money ffs. You are just enabling them to behave like idiots.
