If what I hear is true, there may be a (implemented) law regulating numbers of tuk-tuks and motos fairly soon, but probably not before July.

easy short term visa are available in all SEA countries, your choice which you prefer.
vientiane, penang, pakse, hanoi, cambodia, various thai, have little to deter you from spending months at a time in. when the visas get critical move on to the next, come back after critical visa situation passes or just change country again.
I personally don't like to live like a gipsy - backpacker. Did all that years ago :hattip:
i see it more as a perpetual tourist lifestyle. sure you live out of your luggage, but there is no need to stay in dorms or even frequent places or even areas that primarily cater to western backpackers. i dont and havent done for decades. but yes sure it isnt a lifestyle that suits everyone. personally i cant conceive of staying locked up in one condo for years.
err i do stay in george town penang sometimes it is primarily backpacker but even still my daily movements are not entangled with the western backpackers there . places i shop/eat have mostly locals as customers

but yeah, being stinky is also a method i employ to keep other pest at bay, plus i aint got no need to impress anyone at all. my existence is more focused in keeping pest at bay than enticing people to be near me. you dont know what pests i am referring to you ? perhaps you stinky enough already yourself

That's good. Those soapdodging backpackers are stinky enough as it is
sometimes the smell literally lingers for an hour or more in an open shopfront

Lot of sugar daddies in thailand, tips of 250baht arent unusual.


Theres conpetition even with hookers in thailand nowadays, they wil let you bar fine then bail on you after one shot and get back to the bar for more LDs.

Long time is long lost in both regions.

Once Grab, Uber and other services become the norm.... Tuk Tuks will be a thing of the past, and not before time!

You what? Tuktuk drivers bit your nucking futs in Cambodia ? :shock: That's nasty. :?

Cambodia is not for the faint-hearted. Those tuktuk drivers have to put up with some weird shit to make a living. No wonder a lot of them are either getting wasted, or trying to migrate to Thailand to scrape a living.
You, at least, can choose to live elsewhere if you don't like the tuktuk drivers. Or use a uber/grab/ taxi app instead of tuktuk. Easy for you. :mulled:
