Where to Report Siem Reap Falcon Seller ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. I am disgusted.
i just heard back from the person i reported this too.
I better not say too much right now, i don't trust myself.

Fair enough, they might be busy elsewhere - but FFS - they do not even appear to have good enough relationships with any of any of the other responsible authorities to respond to this in a timely way.
After the Black-winged Kite failure i would have thought they would have at least prioritised this as a PR exercise.

OK. Against all the rules in the book. I will put up the $300 bucks to buy this family
- IF somebody can assure me they can handle it - and look after them until we find a suitable home, or some way to re-release.
I can Western Union the money straight away. PM me if anybody is willing to take it on.

Eastern Marsh Harriers do not breed in Cambodia, they are just winter visitors. I am also thinking Changeable Hawk-eagle.

Wildlife Alliance. not up to it, it seems

Not sure if ACCB actually does seizures???
but they would be the first port of call for caring for them.
Do you have any personal contacts at ACCB you can send me? Saturday is not a good time for general office contact.
It is probably outside Sam Veansa's line of work.

Flocking Phew!!
Sorted. Birds seized and safe.

Now i just have to repair my relationships with Wildlife Alliance. LOL
I sent them increasingly strident rockets - but they keep super secret until the raids/seizures have been conducted.
Bastards  nearly gave me a seizure myself.

I will try to get some details.
Thanks everybody who offered support and interest.

(and apologise to Wildlife Alliance for inferring they were not up to it - they were, with boots on)

This is a very active local falconry group. Might be worth contacting them.
Falconry is quite popular locally, with lots of chick breeding plus free flying and hunting with birds of prey.

Thanks Plain of Jahs, sincerely ^^^
Very interesting, but personally i prefer my birds in the bush.
I can see the attraction for some tho'.

Anybody else with any interesting raptor stories or info?
might as well keep a good thread going

I may be mistaken in my identification, but these birds certainly look more like harriers than Eagles. I can confidently say they are not Changeable Hawk Eagles, CH Eagles legs are feathered all the way down to the feet, the birds in these photos clearly have naked shins, also the CHE has a distinctive crest which is absent in the birds in question. The powder blue cere (the base of the beak for non birders) in the pale bird in the 1st picture is typical of the male Eastern Marsh Harrier. Using the plastic stool for scale I would say these birds were undersize to be CH Eagles. Also, if the nestlings in the cage are the young of the adults in the photos (and they look like they could well be) we have to consider that a single egg is usual for CH Eagles, whereas a clutch of up to seven eggs for EM Harriers would tie in with the number of nestlings in the photo. As you say it’s not usual for EMHarriers to nest in Cambodia, but they do visit and there is a first time for everything, what with climate change and all.
