Where to change euros? Cambodia or Thailand?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

change Euros to BAHT in Thailand

If u have euro, are u in Europe? than change to US $ there
Changing euros to dollars in europe ?
You guys so badly want to give your hard earned cash to the banksters I am starting to think you like it. It wouldn't be a 250$ difference with a PP money changer then but rather 500$ maybe more.

Btw, same as logos said, a few security measures are of course appropriate when changing a large amount. That being said PP big changers have good security themselves (surely very good police numbers too if being followed) and I never heard of a barang being robbed leaving their shops.

As I wrote before,
I already have a saving bank account with Canadia Bank in PP.
I have been in Cambodia several times before.
Thanks for the advice.
I think I will change the Euros with the big money changers in PP; and not in Thailand.
for 250$ difference I can have some fun in PP.
I will go with taxi to the money changer in PP
ask the taxi to wait.
As soon as I changed the Euros, I will take the same taxi to the Canadia bank, head office, which is not far from the money changer.
(perhaps I will even take some money to Kredit, Prasac or Vision and invest 30% in one of these MFI's.)
They offer higher interest rates than my Canadia bank and I like the idea to split risks.
Thanks for the help
