Where to Buy Cotton Clothing
Where to Buy Cotton Clothing
Hello,
I’m new to Phnom Penh. I’ll be here for 18 months and am looking to buy a few new (more appropriate) clothing options having moved from Melbourne. I’ve done some looking around and seem to find so much polyester and seemingly hot hot hot clothing options for women. And also, tiny. I’m usually a small but seem to be a medium/large in Asia.
Can anyone recommend a shop to buy cotton/linen/natural clothes? I found one store at Aeon but it was really overpriced. I’d like to cover up but have breathability.
Thanks so much!
Ellie

Re: Where to Buy Cotton Clothing
I remember way back in the good old days , before the days of polyesters , when shirts and other items were all 100 % cotton . Wash them and they shrunk, bring them in off the line after 2 days of trying to get them dry and they were full of creases and had to be ironed.
No manufacturer or customer [ except you ] wants cotton unless it's % of poly for those above reasons.

Thanks for the responses!
Also, totally get that RE wrinkles, etc. A blend would be okay. I’ve just seen so many that seem super hot. I will check Zando tomorrow.

Let me know if you can find 100% cotton socks, I have had no luck finding any.

You can pick up casual silk shirts and trousers at the main markets. Super light and very comfy.

I'd just add that I have seen shirts in the markets that say on the tag they are "100% cotton" but they were certainly not.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:26 pm You can pick up casual silk shirts and trousers at the main markets. Super light and very comfy.
